Level 5 DET course is recognised teaching qualification leads to QTLS status. This qualification is equivalent to the UK bachelor’s degree and is suitable for trainers, teachers, and tutors who intend to work or already working in further education, university, training centre, college, adult and community learning or work-based training within public, private, community organisations or voluntary sectors. It prepares trainee teachers to teach in a wide range of contexts and requires observation and assessment of practice. More about the course:
The Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training DET course is a teaching qualification which has a teaching/training practice requirement. It is an ‘in service’ qualification designed for those working or wishing to work as teachers/trainers in England. It may be possible for pre-service teachers/trainers (defined as those who are not formally contracted as teachers/trainers) to also complete this qualification. All candidates, whether pre-service or in-service must have access to 100 hours of teaching (volunteer teaching, paid / unpaid teaching, part time / full time teaching). 

Candidates who successfully complete this qualification will take an analytical and practical approach to all aspects of planning, delivering and assessing inclusive teaching and learning. Whilst doing this, candidates will embed theories and principles in education and training and demonstrate them in their practice.

Entry Requirement:
Candidates who like to completethe Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training DET course must have completed Level 3 Award in Education & Training or former Level 3/4 PTLLS Course (C&G 6302 or 6502). Candidates for this course must have access to 100 hours of teaching and should have a good standard of verbal communications skills

Online or Classroom Based Course:
You can do this course either through distance learning/online or classroom method with Tutor’s Support & Guidance. All necessary materials will be sent to you by Special royal mail delivery and also will be given the online portal access, once you book the course. You will be given up to 1 Academic year to complete the assignments or coursework. However If you finish earlier, you will be awarded early. (You do not need to wait for up to 1 year). Within the 1 year, you need to be observed by your mentor and course tutor.
